entertains audiences around the world with their classical music performances.”
[Lisa Simeone/Baltimore Style Magazine]
"It’s hard to find a family more musically gifted than the Borowskys.
They’ve been given a rock star reception in countless countries. International
press has given them rave reviews. It takes a while to realize when reading the
glowing testimonials, however, that the music they’re playing isn’t the next
big thing. It’s classical." [The Towerlight]
“Your devotion to sharing your talents and representing Baltimore in different
parts of the world should be a source of great pride for you. As mayor and
personally, I offer my commendation in appreciation of the service you have
rendered and in celebration of your past, present, and future success.”
[Stephanie Rawlings Blake, Mayor of Baltimore]

world-wide by the POL-SAT network, and their performance of the Beethoven
Triple Concerto while on tour with the Young German Symphony Orchestra was
published as a DVD in 2009.
As soloists, they have performed with orchestras including the Tianjin Symphony
Orchestra (China), Eisenach Festival Orchestra (Germany), Young German Symphony
Orchestra (Germany), Poznan Symphony (Poland), National Conservatory Orchestra
(Jordan), Israeli Soloists Orchestra (Israel), Szczecin Philharmonic (Poland),
Loudon Symphony (USA), Katowice Philharmonic (Poland), Rzezow Chamber Orchestra
(Poland), St. Christopher Orchestra (Lithuania), Šiauliai Chamber Orchestra
(Lithuania), and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (USA), among others.
In 2008, the Borowskys were invited and sponsored by the government of China to
perform concerts welcoming the Olympics. This tour, “One World, One Dream, One
Family” included diplomatic meetings, recitals, and a gala performance with the
Tianjin Symphony Orchestra at which each member of the family performed a concerto
with the orchestra. The concert culminated in a performance of the Borowsky’s
own “Music From Around the World” with the orchestra. This tour inspired them
to pursue and create a concert program “Music: the Best Bridge for All People.”
On the invitation of respective ministries of culture, they have presented the
program on tours of Indonesia, Korea, China, Germany, Vietnam, Ukraine, and
Scandinavia; and most recently, Mexico and Cuba.
Additionally, The Borowsky give approximately 25-35 community performances each
year; locally, nationally, and internationally. These include school
presentations (in Baltimore: through the Baltimore Music Club's Performing Arts
for Children's Education Program), and performances in hospitals (John's
Hopkins Children's Center, Ronald McDonald House) and assisted living and
senior centers (Symphony Manor, Brightview, The Maples, The Bykota Center, and
Oak Crest Village). During international tours they frequently give
masterclasses and special presentations at schools, community centers, places
of worship, and other venues.
In 2003, The Borowsky founded The International Music Institute and Festival

The venue, the baroque Oratory, was originally the friars’ refectory. Over the years, it had been transformed into an oratory, hence it is beautifully adorned by magnificent baroque paintings, an elaborate gilded altarpiece and monks’ benches. The lunchtime concerts are a wonderful way to visit and enjoy the beautiful chapel.
The events are fund raising events for the Franciscan Church, which is undergoing extensive structural restoration. Tickets for the lunchtime concerts, costing 8 euro, can be obtained from the venue itself half an hour before the concert begins. For more details phone 7968 0952 or email: baroccomalta@gmail.com
