Royal Hospital School Chapel Choir

The Royal Hospital School Chapel Choir

The successful and prominent lunchtime concerts which have been running for these last six years is very proud to be including a performance by the The Royal Hospital School Chapel Choir from the U.K. to perform at St.Francis of Assisi Church on Tuesday 20th October 2015 at 12:30pm.

The Chapel Choir has become one of the most important and prestigious ensembles at the Royal Hospital School performing regularly on television and radio from St. Paul’s Cathedral, St Martin-in-the-Field London and the Royal Albert Hall. Tours abroad have included performances at Notre Dame in Paris, St Mark’s Venice and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and a tour of Northern Germany. Composer and Patron of Music at RHS, John Rutter, recently commented that this is “one of the largest, finest and most committed choirs I have ever found in a school.”

The Choir will be under the direction of Conductor William Saunders.  The choir will be singing a sacred repertoire ranging from  Goodall’s Psalm 23,  Haydn’sInsane et vanae curaeto to Moore’s It is a thing most wonderful.

The lunchtime concert will be held at St. Francis Church in Republic Street Valletta and it is organized by Barocco Cultural Events. The event is free of charge but donations will be welcome in aid of St. Francis Church.
