DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 13 October at 12:30pm\, the magnificent setting of O
 ur Lady of Victory Church in Valletta will be transport listeners to a Par
 is! Barocco Foundation\, in collaboration with Din l-Art Ħelwa\, presents
  an enchanting lunchtime concert celebrating one of France’s most unforg
 ettable voices\, Édith Piaf.\n\nFor this intriguing musical encounter\, a
 cclaimed mezzo-soprano Clare Ghigo joins forces with accomplished accordio
 nist Yuri Charyguine\, bringing Piaf’s world vividly to life. The distin
 ctive colours of the accordion\, paired with Ghigo’s rich and expressive
  mezzo-soprano\, promise an intimate and captivating performance in the at
 mospheric surroundings of Our Lady of Victory Church.\n\nThe programme tak
 es audiences on a journey through some of Piaf’s most beloved songs. Fro
 m the exuberant rhythm of La Foule and the wistful beauty of Sous le Ciel 
 de Paris\, to the dramatic Padam Padam and the haunting Exodus\, each song
  opens a window onto a different facet of Piaf’s extraordinary musical w
 orld.\n\nThe programme also embraces the tenderness and tragedy of Les Ama
 nts d’un jour\, Le Goualante du Pauvre Jean and Les Trois Cloches\, befo
 re moving into some of the songs that have become inseparable from Piaf’
 s legend: Milord\, L’Hymne à l’Amour\, Mon Manège à Moi and\, of co
 urse\, the eternally enchanting La Vie en Rose.\n\nThis is more than a con
 cert\; it is an invitation to pause in the middle of the day and surrender
  to the atmosphere of Paris — its romance\, its drama\, its laughter and
  its tears. In the hands of Clare Ghigo and Yuri Charyguine\, Piaf’s son
 gs promise to resonate anew\, filling the historic church with music that
